This image is of a little alleyway on the island of Burano, where the houses are colourful and bright, sometimes shockingly vivid.
The little orangey/yellow house sits undaunted in the middle of the lane hemmed in by the ‘walls’ of other coloured houses in a most appealing manner. It would be tempted to assign ‘personalities’ and ‘character’ to the houses as they are so unusual. Something about this one has a particular appeal. It seems to be telling the world “Here I am, and here I stay” – a courageous little house in my view.
The image is an acrylic 56cm x 40cm. It can be ordered larger, bespoke and can be made with mat or glossy finish.
